Founded in the early 70’s by Luiz Eduardo Indio da Costa as a small studio, the office gradually acquired a business structure.
The office has been constantly expanding its field of work: from product design with the introduction of designer Luiz Augusto Indio da Costa to the group in 1996, to large scale projects involving urban design and transportation proposals. For this reason the office name has been updated to Indio da Costa A.U.D.T. (Architecture, Planning and Design.
Today, the office operates with a core team of approximately 40 professionals among engineers, urban designers, architects, designers, modelists, and students. In partnership with complementary teams of research, engineering, landscape architecture, acoustic and lighting design, air-conditioning, among others, the office has the capacity to commit to a broad spectrum of job contracts varying in complexity and duration, from large scale planning to urban design, architecture and interior design, all in one integrated design methodology.
With this recent configuration, the company updated its brand to INDIO DA COSTA A.U.D.T, thus indicating its four areas of practice: architecture, urbanism, product and transport design.
